The AATCC AUST Student Chapter is set to organize AATCC Textile Week 2026 – TEXATHON, a three-day flagship event aimed at bringing together innovation, creativity, technical excellence and industry collaboration within Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector.
Scheduled to take place from 15 to 17 August 2026 at the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) campus, the event will be organized under the theme, “Weave Ideas. Innovate Futures.” Life Textile Pvt. Ltd. has joined the event as the Title Sponsor.
TEXATHON 2026 aims to strengthen the connection between academia and industry by creating opportunities for students to demonstrate their skills, address real-world challenges, exchange knowledge and engage with industry professionals.

The three-day event will feature a range of technical, creative and business-oriented competitions designed to encourage innovation and practical problem-solving among textile students.

Textile Art and Fashion Innovation
Beyond the competitive segments, TEXATHON 2026 will feature several special attractions.
Threads & Strokes – A Textile Art Exhibition will provide participants with a platform to showcase textile-based artworks, artistic concepts and creative expressions.
Meanwhile, The Runway – Innovation in Threads Fashion Show will highlight innovative design concepts, contemporary fashion and creative applications of textile materials on the runway.
By incorporating art and fashion alongside technical competitions, the event aims to demonstrate the diverse possibilities and interdisciplinary nature of the textile and apparel industry.
AUST National Textile Job Fair to Connect Talent with Industry
Another major attraction of TEXATHON 2026 will be the AUST National Textile Job Fair, scheduled to take place from 16 to 17 August 2026 at the AUST campus.
The job fair, sponsored by Auko-Tex Group, will create direct networking and career opportunities for third- and fourth-year students as well as recent graduates. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with leading organizations and industry professionals from Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector.
