RMG Club Ltd. Opens Corporate Office, Strengthening Bangladesh–Brazil Business Engagement

RMG Club Ltd. marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its corporate office, accompanied by the signing of a strategic partnership with the Bangladesh-Brazil Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BBCCI). The event brought together diplomats, industry leaders, and business stakeholders to reinforce collaboration between Bangladesh and Brazil’s textile and apparel sectors.

Addressing the gathering, H.E. Paulo Fernando Dias Feres, Ambassador of Brazil to Bangladesh, highlighted the importance of stronger private-sector cooperation in unlocking new trade opportunities. He also welcomed continued discussions on improving market access for Bangladeshi garments produced with Brazilian cotton.

Mahmud Hasan Khan, President of BGMEA, emphasized that Brazil remains one of Bangladesh’s most important cotton suppliers, with imports nearing US$1 billion annually. He expressed optimism that enhanced cooperation could lead to increased cotton imports and greater export opportunities for Bangladesh’s apparel industry.

Showkat Aziz Russell, President of BTMA, reaffirmed the textile sector’s commitment to expanding collaboration with Brazil, particularly in cotton sourcing and broader industrial partnerships that can create long-term value for both countries.

Former BGMEA President and BUFT Chairman Faruque Hassan stressed the need to deepen Bangladesh-Brazil relations through diversified trade, investment, and knowledge exchange, paving the way for stronger economic cooperation.

The ceremony was attended by Abul Kalam, MP, Managing Director of Chaity Group, alongside leading entrepreneurs and representatives from across Bangladesh’s textile and apparel value chain.

The inauguration reflects the industry’s continued focus on building stronger business networks, encouraging innovation, and creating international partnerships that will help drive the future growth of Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
